Jalean Branch

PROJECT GRADUATION SCHOLARSHIP

Jalean Branch, who plans to become a nurse anesthetist, received a Project Graduation scholarship that he will use at Brazosport College.  Active in band, he works at Smithhart’s. His mother is Tonya Willis Branch ’93.

Sergio Buentello

RAY PEARL CONDRY MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP

Sergio Buentello, second in his class, received the Ray Pearl Condry Memorial Scholarship. He will major in engineering at A&M and plans to be a Naval officer.  His mother is Mariza Gutierrez Buenetelo ’94.

Ryan Clarkson

MARVIN AND BETTYE JACOBSON MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP

Ryan Clarkson, who will major in biology at Lamar, wants to be a medical perfusionist. He was active in the Health Occupations and earned 27 hours of college credit.  He received the Marvin and Bettye Jacobson Memorial Scholarship.  He comes from a long line of Angleton grads – great-grandfather Leslie Perry ’42. great-grandmother Emma Walker Perry ’49, grandfather Skip Perry ’63 and mother Stacey Perry Clarkson ’84.

Raquel Cruz

CLASS OF 1967 SCHOLARSHIP

Raquel Cruz will go to Texas State and plans to be a pediatrician. Active in Honor Choir, she was a youth leader at church, and took AP courses. She received a Class of 1967 scholarship. Her mom is Adrianna Gonzalez Castillo ’01. 

Mykak Frost

DUBOSE FAMILY SCHOLARSHIP

Mykak Frost, a 2020 graduate majoring in speech therapy at Stephen F. Austin received her third installment of the DuBose Family Scholarship.  She had a 4.0 last semester.    Her mother is Heather Smith Brewer ’96. 

Isharay Jones

MURPHY RANKIN MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP

Isharay Jones, active in football, basketball, and track, wants to be a sports analyst. He works at the Angleton Rec Center and will attend LSU.  The Class of 1967 gave him their MuRphy Rankin Memorial Scholarship.  His mom is Gracie Pequeno ’02. 

Bryan Luna

CHAMBERLAIN FAMILY SCHOLARSHIP

Bryan Luna, sixth in his class, will use the Chamberlain Family Scholarship to study engineering at the University of Houston. He was president of the Robotics Club.

Madison Luna

O. V. MCDANIEL MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP

Madison Luna will start at Brazosport College to become a nurse.  She took college classes, was captain of the soccer team, and works at Lunacy Taco.  She received the O. V. McDaniel Memorial scholarship.  Her mom is  Amanda Luna ’96.

Juan Moreno

PROJECT GRADUATION SCHOLARSHIP

Juan Moreno will use his Project Graduation scholarship to study social work at Brazosport College. His parents Emelda Sauceda Moreno and Juan Moreno are Class of 1993.

Kendell Neely

MURPHY RANKIN MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP

Kendell Neely will study education at Brazosport College. She was in Honor Band, works at H-E-B, and made top grades.  She was given the Murphy Rankin Memorial Scholarship by the Alumni Association. Her grandfather was Anthony Ivy ’68. 

Abigail Nett

HANDBAGS AND GLADRAGS SCHOLARSHIP

Abigail Nett will major in Wildlife and Fisheries Sciences at A&M, where she will be in the corps and Aggie Band.  Drum major and Homecoming queen, she played varsity soccer.  She was presented the Handbags and Gladrags scholarship funded by the Alumni Association.

Tristan Price

TONY HERFORD MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP

Tristan Price, No. 11 in his class and captain of the football team, will major in Construction Science at A&M.  He received the Tony Herford Memorial Scholarship.  His mom is Mindy May Price ’94 and his dad is Travis Price ’91. 

Kyler Wallace

ALUMNI ASSOCIATION SCHOLARSHIP

Kyler Wallace will start at Brazosport College with plans to be a video game designer. He received an Alumni Association scholarship. His mom Kimberly Pelt Wallace graduated in 1997.
