ALUMNI SPOTLIGHT
A week before Valentine’s Day, Wayne Jackson66 returned from Australia, completing his long-held goal of visiting all seven continents.  A fan of travel, he also made it to all 50 states before age 50, and circumnavigated the globe by age 63.  The most memorable part of the around-the-world trip, he says, was an 11-day train ride from Beijing to Moscow on the Trans-Siberian Railroad.  He reports that Siberia is among the most beautiful places he’s ever seen, with gorgeous rivers, forests and mountains.  He and his wife Donna Leaman live in Tucson.

APPRECIATION LUNCHEON      From seafood gumbo to pistachio pimento sandwiches to pasta salad to chocolate-covered strawberries, there was something for everyone at the annual Appreciation Luncheon for administrative and technology staff.  Angleton Alumni Association board members personally cooked and served the food. “It’s my favorite day of the year,” AISD superintendent Phil Edwards said.
